In the Tea Act, the British forced the colonists to buy their tea from only one company. That was bad, since the company could make the tea cost as much money as possible because they had no competitors to lower their price. The Stamp Act

The Stamp Act was created by King George III to force taxes onto the colonists. The items they had taxes on were paper goods such as stamps, marriage certificates, and envelopes.

The Quartering Act

In the Quartering Act, poor colonists were forced to provide shelter and food, water, other basic needs to British soldiers that King George III sent to watch the colonists. The colonists did not like this, and some even did harsh things to the British soldiers. This caused argument between them.
Boston Massacre

One cold night in March, colonists started taunting a British guard and making fun of him. Some threw snowballs. Other British soldiers came to his defense. After that part, we don't know what happened next. Some say that the soldier's Captain said don't fire and one soldier hear fire. Many colonists died or got severely injured.


The Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party was planned by the angry colonists to rebel against the Tea Act. White men dressed as Indians and threw crates of tea into the Boston harbor. They did receive punishment though: The end of Boston's access to their beloved Boston harbor. :(
