Why did they choose to be who they were?
PATRIOTS:
1. Too risky to run away
2. Loyal to their owners
1. British offered freedom
2. British could push west more and give land for slaves as they did for American Indians.
Women in the War

Women played a BIG role in the war. Here are some things they did:
1. Took care of the household and children
2. Some spied for the patriots
3. Many were nurses who had bigger risks being infected then soldiers.
4. Added public support with speeches and writing
5. Some even fought!!!
Native Americans faced many difficulties because of the war even though many chose to be neutral.
-Both sides punished them for helping the other side
-both sides often raided their villages for supplies
-The patriots winning turned out to be a disadvantage to them because white settlers began moving west, causing Indian homes lost
